The way in which teeth meet together is called occlusion or bite. When there are discrepancies with the bite this can cause problems such as:
- Toothache and premature tooth wear
- Pain, clicking or locking of the jaw joint
- Tenderness of the facial muscles which sometimes extends to the neck or shoulders
- Headaches
With occlusal therapies such as occlusal adjustments and splint therapy we can reduce these symptoms and usually resolve the problem.
